How much does a website cost?
The most obvious question, but the hardest to answer. It very much depends on what you want to achieve with your website. There are many factors to take into account when considering a budget for a website, not least marketing it once you have one. There is no point blowing your entire budget on an all singing website if you are then left hoping that people will see it. There is no such thing as a fixed price solution when it comes to websites, ultimately, it comes down to how much time we have to spend on it. The best way to get an answer to this question is to give us a call and let us discuss your requirements.

How long does it take to have a website built?
Another impossible question without knowing a great deal about what you want it to do. Websites can be built in a week or take 6 months, depending on the complexity, and the quality of your pre-build work. We can not write content for you about your business and products/services because ultimately, you know best. This always takes time and we can't finish a website until we have all the content from you.

What are the maintenance costs on a website?
Depending on your level of skill, there don't have to be any maintenance costs, but if required, maintenance is on a per job basis. We won't charge a fixed monthly fee just in case you need something changing, we will only charge you when something needs changing. And if you're up for the challenge, we can teach you the basics to maintain sections of it yourself! We manage a number of websites for clients, but there are others who manage the content entirely themselves. It's your choice!

How much is website hosting?
Website hosting can vary tremendously depending on the country your server is located in, what service level agreement you have (if any), what hardware is being used and other factors. We have our own dedicated web servers and depending on the site, the size, levels of traffic and features required will depend on how much hosting will cost, but this will be laid out prior to any development work so you know exactly what you will be paying before we start.

My current web developer will not release my domain, what can I do?
If a company has registered a domain on your behalf, they should have put your details in as the registrant. This means you are its owner and it can not be taken off you. Companies can refuse to release domains if there is money outstanding on the domain, but there are regulatory bodies for all domains who can intervene in the event of a dispute and return the domain to you.

Do you offer training/consulting?
Yes, we can offer training on maintaining the site yourself depending on its features and we can also offer consulting as a separate service whether we produce your website or not.
